In lesson 41 we will focus on learning counter words, called 量词 liàngcí in Chinese. We will review counter words that we have already covered previously, as well as learn a few new ones.

Shūbāo lǐ yǒu yí gè běnzi, liǎng kuài xiàngpí hé yí gè jiāodài.
In the book bag there is one notebook, two erasers and one thing of tape.
桌子上有六支铅笔和两支钢笔。
Zhuōzi shàng yǒu liù zhī qiānbǐ hé liǎng zhī gāngbǐ. On the table there are six pencils and two pens.
抽屉里有一把尺子和一把剪刀。
Chōutì lǐ yǒu yì bǎ chǐzi hé yì bǎ jiǎndāo. In the drawer there is one ruler and one pair of scissors.
书架上有三本小说，一本词典和两本课本。
Shūjià shàng yǒu sān běn xiǎoshuō, yì běn cídiǎn hé liǎng běn kèběn. On the bookshelf there are three novels, one dictionary and two textbooks.
